My recent works are a mixed bag of emotions. Embedded in the patterns are stresses about the pandemic, concerns for my job security, and a general worry about an uncertain future. Don't get me wrong, there are some good moments blended in too.
I painted this one for my friends who moved across the country. I wanted them to piece of their east coast home and friends with them on the west coast. They recently got married.
This one was made on my rooftop with a view of the Manhattan skyline in the background.
My friend organized a silent auction fundraiser for The Loveland Foundation. I donated this piece to the auction.
I started this piece in January before I knew how 2020 would unfold. I finished it in early April when the tristate area's hospitals were operating at capacity.
My friend asked me to paint something she could give to her husband as a gift on their wedding day. Receiving that request filled me joy and warmth.
